Greater Illinois Title Company (GIT), a Chicago-based real estate information services provider and Illinois' largest title insurance agency, has announced that it has brought together its Chicago Loop operations on the ninth floor of the 120 North LaSalle Street Building. The move, announced by Gregory M. Kosin, the firm's president, allows for all core business functions to be integrated at its corporate headquarters located in the in the heart of Chicago's legal and financial district. In addition, information system upgrades have been implemented to advance the firm's e-commerce capabilities.

"Not only does the move bring us together physically, it has allowed GIT to integrate its network architecture to accommodate cutting-edge Internet applications now being developed," stated Kosin. "With recent capital investments in a server-based infrastructure, GIT is readying itself to compete in the new Internet marketplace for settlement services."

As part of the move, the company upgraded all hardware and software to accommodate high-speed connections to the Internet on every desktop throughout the company. In addition, the extensive training of employees in new e-commerce applications have already begun.

"And, we are happy to continue to be a full floor tenant in one of the premier buildings located in the City's central business district."
