Greater Illinois Title Company (GIT), a Chicago-based title insurance and real estate information services provider, has announced that it has opened a Will County operation in Shorewood outside of Joliet. It is GIT's twelfth office and is located at Route 59 just south of Black Road at 858 Center Court. The office will provide full-service title insurance and escrow capabilities including residential agency closings, commercial escrow closings, new construction escrow services and builder services for customers in Shorewood, Joliet, Elwood, Plainfield, Minooka, Channahon and surrounding areas.

Daniel R. Hyma, Vice President, of New Lenox, has been named manager of the Will County Operations of GIT and will be based in the Shorewood location. Mr. Hyma, formerly the manager of GIT's Homewood office for 12 years, has been with GIT for over 18 years starting out as a title searcher and title examiner in the firm's Chicago office. Angela Miller-Kerulis, Escrow Closing Officer, a resident of Shorewood, will handle residential, commercial and construction escrow services in the new location. Jack Ericksen, Regional Account Manager, of Joliet, will be based in Shorewood. He will be responsible for targeting residential, commercial and construction accounts across the area including business development and sales in Joliet and surrounding areas.

In making the announcement, Shorewood resident Guy P.
