  • We are "Ladies and Gentlemen" serving ladies and gentlemen. As service professionals, we treat our customers and each other with respect and dignity.
  • GIT's goals and objectives are communicated to all employees. It is everyone's responsibility to support them.
  • The customer is our reason for being here.
  • Our customers have a basic need for security, dignity, self-respect and the respect of others. They are looking for a relationship of trust. The key to providing it is the fact that we want to build this trust. If an employee is not capable of having a warm customer relationship, perhaps they should be in the employ of someone else.
  • Our customers are not dependent on us. We are dependent on them.
  • Our customers are not people with whom to argue. Even when the customer is wrong, the customer is right. You may win a battle with a customer, but you will lose the war.
  • Our customers bring us their wants and needs. It is our job and mission to fulfill them and solve their problems. The better we do that job, the more profitable our company will be.
  • Every employee is empowered. When a customer has a problem, you should address it and resolve the issue or find someone to help you resolve the issue.
  • Each employee will identify quality breakdowns to ensure that continuous improvement can be attained.
  • Smile - we are on stage. Always use the proper vocabulary with our customers and others including "Good morning", "Good afternoon", "Certainly", "I'll be happy to" and avoid words such as "sure", "folks", "hi" and "OK".
  • Be an ambassador of the company in and outside of the workplace by speaking positively and being professional.
  • Use proper telephone etiquette by answering within three rings whenever possible, using the customer's name when possible, asking the caller "May I put you on hold?" and adhering to a voice mail standard of returning calls the same day whenever possible.
  • Take pride and care of your personal appearance by conveying a professional image and adhering to the company dress code and grooming standards.
  • Protecting the assets of GIT is the responsibility of every employee. Conserve energy, don't be wasteful with company property, maintain a clean work area and preserve a professional work environment.
  • Adhere to the principles of trust, honesty, respect, integrity and professionalism at all times. Our customers are the basis for the success of GIT - by their repeat business and positive recommendations to other customers. If we serve our customers in this manner, we will grow, thrive and survive against all competition.
