Greater Illinois Title Opens New Full Service Office in Joliet

Greater Illinois Title Company (GIT), a Chicago-based title insurance and real estate information services provider, has announced that it has opened a second Will county office in Joliet. It is GIT’s seventeenth office and is located at 23 West Jefferson Street in downtown Joliet just across the street from the Will County Courthouse. The office will provide full-service title insurance and escrow capabilities including residential agency closings, commercial escrow closings, new construction escrow services and builder services for customers in downtown and surrounding areas.

Peggy Friefeld, Assistant Vice President, of Mokena, has been named branch manager and will oversee operations in the Joliet office. Ms. Friefeld has been with GIT for over 10 years. She will handle residential, commercial and construction escrow services in the new location. A thirty-year veteran of the title business, Ms. Friefeld most recently was the branch manager of GIT’s Homewood office. Patty Freburg, Escrow Assistant, of New Lenox, will also be based in Joliet. Ms. Freburg has been with GIT for sixteen years and will be responsible for closing services and will assist with builder services and construction escrows.

In making the announcement, Guy P. Lundstrom, Senior Vice President of GIT stated, "The new office builds on the company’s plan to extend its full-service capabilities to customers by broadening geographical coverage. We will focus our efforts on growing our business in all market segments throughout Will County. Peggy, Patty, and the staff in our Shorewood location, will help establish a strong presence for Greater Illinois Title in this new market area."
