The company is on the list of The Chicago Tribune Top Workplaces as a Workplace Achiever in 2014.

GIT Announces November 5th CLE Seminar

Greater Illinois Title Company will hold its next Continuing Legal Education Seminar on Wednesday, November 5th at Maggiano’s in Oak Brook. This presentation will educate attorneys by offering an overview of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s eClosing Pilot Program. This program will target research on eClosing solutions involving managing documents, data transfer, electronic signatures, and consumer awareness.

This CLE series will provide a quality speaking lineup, including Ralph Schumann, Alec Cheung, and Nancy Pratt.

GIT has also invited a Chris Christensen, PeirsonPatterson LLP, to provide insights from the legal perspective as it relates to the CFPB eClosing Pilot Program.

GREATER ILLINOIS TITLE ANNOUNCES EXPANSION INTO INDIANA

Greater Illinois Title Company (GIT), a Chicago-based real estate information

services provider and Illinois’ largest title insurance agency, has announced that

it has opened a full service title insurance and closing operation in Indiana.

 

Greater Indiana Title Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Greater Illinois

Title Company has opened its main office in Merriville and closing locations in

Munster, Valparaiso and St. John. Greater Indiana Title will service customers in

Northwest Indiana and throughout the state.

 

Cindy Colvin has joined Greater Indiana Title Company as a Senior Commercial

Escrow Officer. Ms. Colvin, formerly a commercial loan officer and commercial

lender, most recently worked as a Commercial Closing Officer and Account

Manager for a local title company. She has been in the industry for over twenty years.

Kristin Busch also joined Greater Indiana Title Company and has been named

Executive Account Manager for GIT. Ms. Busch, who has fifteen years of

industry experience, received her MBA from Indiana University. She will be

responsible for business development and sales throughout the state. She will

also focus her efforts on national business to be serviced by GIT’s National Title

Services Group™.

Chicago Title Insurance Company and Old Republic National Title Insurance Company.

GIT Announces Formation of NTSG™

NTSGGreater Illinois Title Company announced that it has formed a new division, the National Title Services Group ™ (NTSG) to streamline its growing national business through a separate business unit. NTSG will provide new opportunities for out-of-state residential and commercial title business development and will provide full service title insurance and settlement services for real estate transactions nationwide.

GIT now writes title insurance policies and can handle closings directly in five states: Illinois, Iowa,  Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan. With the NTSG in place and operating, and through our national resources with bothChicago Title and Old Republic National Title, GIT can now coordinate transactions in any of the other 45 states seamlessly and through a single point of contact for clients.

Greater Indiana Title Company, a subsidiary of Greater Illinois Title Company, will be opening an office in Munster, IN by the end of June and will follow with an office in Merriville, IN by the end of July.

The NTSG will be headed up by Guy P. Lundstrom, Senior Vice President, a thirty year veteran of the title industry. He will be assisted by Dan Hyma, Vice President, a twenty five year veteran. NTSG will coordinate commercial title clearance, commercial escrow closing matters and commercial underwriting decisions for GIT’s expanding national business.

Indiana:        Greater Indiana Title Company

GIT Announces New Senior Account Manager: Bill Motluck

GIT is proud to welcome Bill Motluck to the company as a Senior Account Manager. Bill earned a BA in Business Administration from Lewis University and spent time as a business manager with the San Diego Padres baseball organization. He also owned a Century 21  real estate offices in Chicago Heights and Richton Park.

 

Bill spent 7 years in sales with GIT before departing for a period of time with the Fidelity family of title insurers. Bill brings experience, dedication and enthusiasm to his role of Senior Account Manager at Greater Illinois Title. Bill will be based out of the GIT Downers Grove office and looks forward to working with his many friends and associates in the industry. Welcome back Bill!!

May 13th CLE Recap

GIT held another very successful CLE Seminar yesterday. We had over 110 attorneys attend and were treated to one of our best programs ever. GIT is taking the lead to inform the attorney agent community of the need for data security and to prepare for new regulatory compliance issues in the future. Dan Shook Named Account Manager

Dan ShookGreater Illinois Title Company (GIT), a Chicago-based title insurance and real estate information services provider, has announced that Dan Shook of Aurora has been named a Regional Account Manager for the company.

Dan Shook started his career at Real Estate Index, Inc. a division of Fidelity National Title Group where he was responsible for residential and commercial business development. He was a Million Dollar Club Award winner for seven straight years and was later promoted to Director of Sales. After a brief period in the pharmaceutical industry, Dan Shook worked for Prairie Title as an account executive and in 2013 joined Meridian Title Corporation as a Senior Account Manager.

The announcement was made by Gregory M. Kosin GIT’s President. Mr. Shook’s territory will include Kane, Will, Kendall and parts of Du Page County. “Dan Shook’s expertise in sales, marketing and his knowledge of the industry will assist the company in its executing its strategy of organic growth and expanding our geographic footprint,” stated Kosin.  “He will focus his efforts on all segments of GIT’s business and continue the tradition of integrity and excellence in customer service at GIT.”
