“It was such an honor to hear Derek Dudley and James Reynolds about their plans that could provide an economic boost to the South Shore while also providing an insatiable demand for video and film production space nationwide. We are excited to see what the future holds!

We would like to personally thank Stanley Czaja from WFG for joining us and educating us on these topics. We appreciate the time you took to give us such a great presentation! We would also like to thank all the attorneys who attended our online CLE. Education is a huge part of GIT that we honor and we wouldn’t be where we are today without all of our attorneys. Last but not least, we would like to thank our President and CCO, Greg Kosin for setting up this CLE event and Erin Jenner for contributing your assistance in getting this set up & speaking with Stan.

Eisenberg Foundation: GIT continues to give back, show our love and support for multiple organizations. Our coworker, Sara O’Connor, is an active board member of the Eisenberg Foundation. The Eisenberg Foundation provides funding for life saving cancer research, as well as real estate mentorship and educational programs to provide a career path for today’s youth. Sara’s husband Patrick O’Connor has been successfully battling stage four esophageal cancer since March 2017. Their personal battle continues largely in part of research organizations like the Eisenberg Foundation. GIT supported this foundation by having employees contribute to a “jean day,” where employees could wear jeans for the workday to raise money. With the contribution of GIT employees, GIT raised over $1200 for the foundation.

Walk 4 Hearing Greater Illinois Title Company raised money for our coworker Monica Pruess. GIT had a “jean day” where our employees donated to wear jeans in honor of Monica and her daughter, Ellie. With these funds it placed Monica, her family and team in 1st place in the Chicagoland area with having the most funds raised at an astonishing amount of $6,146 which surpassed Monica’s goal of last year’s amount of $2,725! Chicago alone raised over $62,000 at the event.
Monica shared a story with GIT about her daughter. “Early in the spring, my husband was cutting grass outside and was wearing his wireless earbuds to listen to music. When he came in, my daughter noticed the headphones and then touched her hearing aids. We realized she knew that she had them and others did not. So, I looked into getting her a doll with hearing aids. Here is a picture of her when she sees her doll with hearing aids.”
Over the years, the walk has raised funds for the Hearing Loss Association of America. This past year each team was given the choice to choose where a portion of their donations go. With the donations Team Ellie collected were donated to the Foundation for Hearing and Speech Resources (FHSR). With the funds raised they contribute to their Loaner Hearing Aid Program, Literacy Programs, Music Education Initiatives, and Advocacy and Awareness. The overall goal of the programs FHSR creates, and funds are to level the playing field for children living with hearing loss, so they have the same opportunities as their hearing peers.
